Principles of Injury Management is a BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA) course hosted at the VICA Nanaimo Training Centre.

If your employer belongs to construction sector 72, or has the classification unit (CU) number 704008, or CU 712033 then you are eligible for FREE training in BC for this course! Simply enter your valid CU number on the registration form. Who should take this course?

This course is designed for people who are responsible for health and safety in their organizations. 

What will you learn?

You will learn leading edge practices in health and safety and be provided with practical tools you can take back to the workplace and implement immediately. This course will guide you in building proactive and responsive approaches to help injured workers stay at work or return to safe and productive work as soon as possible. You will also learn how to control injury costs and receive tools for managing compensation and business costs related to injured workers

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Recognize the benefits of injury management
  • Identify the elements of successful injury management programs
  •  Identify the steps in developing an effective injury management program
  • Develop a plan for an injury management program at their workplace

Developing an injury management program takes preparation and planning but the benefits can be enormous. Participants can make a difference by taking action in order to control claims costs and create and maintain a safer work place for all.
