Connect with the construction industry through VICA events. Meet industry leaders, expand your network, and learn about trends and issues specific to the Vancouver Island construction sector.

With over 25 VICA events and 40 Young Builders, U40, and Women in Construction events we provide our members with quality networking opportunities that enable you to make valuable industry connections. Interested in sponsoring one of our events? Contact Owen O’Rourke for more information.

We’ve always looking to provide exciting, innovative events for our members, but we’re also not afraid of the classics! Check out some of our signature events below.

The Vancouver Island Construction Conference (VICC) provides a venue for construction-related businesses and stakeholders to unite, learn, grow, and prosper.

The content developed for the day is driven by the needs of our local industry, with discussions pertaining to construction technology, market trends, human resources, procurement, development, and policy. Delegates represent 95% of the new commercial building on Vancouver Island each year — an over $1 billion industry.

Every year we kick off the holiday season with our members, toasting a busy year behind and a joyous (and prosperous) year ahead.

The VICA Christmas Luncheon is a much-anticipated, member-only event that sells out year after year. Not only a festive affair, proceeds from the luncheon go toward our Kids in Need Food Drive, providing local schools with grocery gift cards for families who could use a helping hand.

The VICA Awards are designed to formally recognize the work our members do across Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, and coastal British Columbia.

The awards are open to all Vancouver Island Construction Association Members in good standing at time of submission and are judged by a panel of esteemed industry professionals from across the industrial, commercial, institutional, civil and multi-family residential construction sectors.

Consider this your official kick-off for summer! Hardhats in the Ballpark is a construction-themed, family-friendly event, in partnership with the Victoria HarbourCats.

We look forward to hosting this event again in 2022! Stay tuned for more details next spring.
