SignaSur™: Construction contracts made easy

What is SignaSur?

SignaSur is a digital contract lifecycle management platform built specifically for Canadian standard construction documents, the CCDC and CCA documents you already use every day.


It replaces the traditional workflow of physical documents and copyright seals with one secure online experience. You fill out a contract on screen, send it for signature, and store the finished document in a secure dashboard. The electronic copyright seal and a complete audit trail are built in. There is nothing to physically pick up, scan, or mail.


Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) remains your first point of contact. You can purchase the SignaSur annual enrollment and document credits through our online store. Then you will receive instructions to access your SignaSur account to create and sign your contracts.

Saves time, improves efficiency

  • – SignaSur works on your phone, tablet or computer. You purchase a document credit, fill out the contract, attach any supplementary conditions and supporting documents, and send it for signature. SignaSur handles the prompts, reminders, and the final copies for every party.
  • – Signing parties don’t need a SignaSur account – just an email and a web browser. Signing costs them nothing.
  • – Every signing party has full visibility of what they are signing. A permanent transaction record proves who signed what and when, and offers peace of mind that the most current, official version of every document is the one being used.
  • – The copyright seal is embedded automatically when you finalize the contract. There is no separate seal to buy.

What happens to traditional seals and documents?

The Canadian Construction Association is winding down its wholesale supply of traditional CCDC and CCA documents and physical copyright seals. These will be available to order from VICA’s document store until December 15, 2026*. After that, VICA will sell from its stock while supplies last.

*The only exception: traditional CCDC 9 seals will continue to be offered past this date.
