VICA Construction Procurement Community of Practice (CoP)
About the CoP
VICA initiated the Construction Procurement CoP in February 2021 as a resource for construction procurement specialists from public agencies, municipalities, and regional districts across Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast.
The goal of the CoP is to:
- Promote open conversations about construction procurement
- Promote open conversations with public owners about working/engaging successfully with contractors
- Support the development of a network of/for public sector specialists working in construction procurement in our region
Meeting Frequency
VICA organizes quarterly CoP sessions on a variety of construction procurement topics. Sessions are generally 90 minutes in length and held virtually. Attendance is restricted to public owner-employees.
