VICA Network Committees

These groups are open to anyone in the construction industry, whether you’re a VICA member or not. They offer inclusive spaces for connection, collaboration, and community-building.

Whether you’re a non-member looking to explore the industry and grow your network, a VICA member wanting to give back and take on a leadership role, or someone who just wants to attend events without formally joining a committee, consider joining YBN or WiC!

These networks offer opportunities for:

Young Builders Network (YBN)

Open to all young professionals in the construction industry.

Whether you’re a VICA member looking to give back or a non-member eager to connect, YBN welcomes anyone passionate about building a strong future for construction on Vancouver Island.

Mandate: To develop a young executive’s network in order to provide an atmosphere of networking to build relationships within the construction community and to support and promote careers in the industry. The networks also serve to present information, professional development, and leadership or mentorship opportunities that will benefit the individual YBN members and their respective companies. Members are encouraged to participate in community engagement initiatives throughout the year.

Victoria YBN: Meets monthly, with additional planning meetings for major events.

Women in Construction (WiC) Network

Open to all who support women in construction.

Whether you’re a VICA member wanting to champion diversity or a non-member passionate about the industry, WiC offers a welcoming space to connect, learn, and lead.

Mandate: To increase female participation in one of the key sectors of our provincial economy: construction. Membership is open to all who support women working in construction and who are passionate about the industry. Both Chapters of WiC are supported by the Vancouver Island Construction Association.

Victoria WiC: Meets monthly, with additional planning meetings for major events.
