The Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) serves over 450 member companies and their employees from across Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, and coastal British Columbia. With offices in Victoria and Nanaimo, we provide the local construction industry with training, skilled labour, business intelligence, and networking opportunities to help them grow their business while raising industry standards of excellence. SCOPE OF WORK
This is a one-year maternity leave contract with a possibility of extension.
The Communications and Events Coordinator is responsible for assisting the communications efforts of the association with guidance from the Manager of Marketing and Communications, as well as coordinating various association events.
Provide general communications and marketing support to the Manager
Schedule social media posts/events, monitor engagement, track results
Support production of e-newsletters and maintain email marketing lists
Update website, as needed, including writing web copy and formatting
Monitor and track media pick-up and maintain up-to-date media contact list
Coordinate swag and print material ordering
Design marketing collateral for various programs, as needed
Research marketing opportunities and report to the Manager
