WiC Nanaimo: Year in Review

Join us as we celebrate the past year of WiC, the first FULL year of events since 2020. Light snacks will be provided as we come together to review 2023 and look ahead to 2024, which will be TEN YEARS of Women in Construction in Nanaimo!

As the holiday season approaches, we will be collecting items in support of Volunteer Nanaimo’s Christmas Angel program and encourage you, if you are able, to consider bringing in any personal hygiene products (shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc), or a small gift card of $10 or more from any grocery store or Tim’s, Subway, etc., tea towels, adult colouring books, markers, large print puzzle books, tea, coffee, socks. These are the most requested items and are used to help anyone who does not get ‘adopted’.

Last year (2022), the Christmas Angels program was able to positively affect nearly 550 households (over 1,550 individuals) of low-income families, seniors and vulnerable youth.
