Technology Students Available for Hire for 2019 Summer

On behalf of Camosun College, we invite you to post your co-op or internship opportunity on their career portal and consider hiring one of their enthusiastic technology students!

Students are available from the following programs for 2019 Summer: *positions can start as late as June 3, 2019

Important Dates:

  • Posting period: Please allow a minimum of 5 days 
  • Minimum hours required: 420 hours for 4 months 
  • Summer Work term: May 6 – August 23
  • Late Summer Work term: July 2 – December 14  
  • Some flexibility in start/end dates 

I want to hire a co-op student! What should I do?
 

Option 1:

Log in to EducationThatWorks.ca. Post a Co-op job. Wait for the posting to be approved. Receive and review applications. Contact us if we can help set up interviews.

Option 2:

Send your position in Word format directly to Peter or Jeanine and be sure to include the following details: 

  • Dates: start, end and closing 
  • Job info: hours, wage, description 
  • Application instructions and how you would like to receive applications
    (email as students apply, email after deadline, employer website, or other) 
  • If you are located outside of Victoria include accommodation details
    (if no housing is provided, housing links are helpful)

Funding opportunities:

The BC Tech Co-op Grant Program is delivered through co-op departments at BC post-secondary institutions. It encourages student training and job readiness through co-op work terms with small technology and non-tech companies with a tech-related role.

CICan Clean Tech Internship provides potential interns with opportunities to work for eligible employers that are improving environmental and economic outcomes in Canada.
