The Construction Council of Vancouver Island (CCVI) brings together stakeholders of the Island's public construction community to create collaborative forums in which members share perspectives and develop potential solutions to support a triple bottom line approach for project delivery and capital asset management.
To become a cohesive professional construction community built on shared values that contribute to the prosperity of Vancouver Island.
The post 2008 world of capital asset management, design and construction is confronted with unprecedented challenge, opportunity and rapid change driven by the convergence of demographics, economics, technology and the environment. These factors are some of the triggers for structural, organizational, process and relationship changes.
VICA informally consulted with a number of Municipalities, Universities, School Districts, Health and other authorities (MUSH sector), member firms of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies British Columbia (ACEC-BC) and Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) about the notion of bringing the construction community leaders together to explore opportunities to collaboratively address and enhance public capital project delivery outcomes.
OUR EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
CCVI founders involved a diverse group of representatives and leaders from the MUSH sectors, design professionals and VICA membership. The election of a CCVI Elective Council occurred at a January 2014 Council Meeting.
